Highgate

District of Waterdeep

Built around the slate mines established in the 1680s, Highgate really grew when the Cragsmere Mining Coooperative began using it as a base for their operations during the Mount Ardabad gold rush in the 1820s. People came from across Toril to use the district as a starting point for their quest for fortune, and often returned there when they failed, or in a handful of cases succeeded. Today, the district is the most culturally and economically diverse of Waterdeep’s districts, including ethnic centres like Little Imaskar and Chulttown, and housing from slums to mansions.

Bordered to the south by Blackstaff, to the south-west by Downtown, to the west by Swordpoint, to the north-east by Caham, and to the south-east by Ardeep.
